Mayssa Karaa releases “In The Grey”.
Thirty year old Grammy nominated Lebanese/American singer and songwriter Mayssa Karaa has released her brand new single “In The Grey”, the follow up to “Call Me A Stranger”. Both tracks are taken from her forthcoming debut English language album “Simple Cure”.
Mayssa is no stranger to music, however, being based in Los Angeles, she has written and performed music for film, TV and for other artists as well as touring with Italian Tenor Pasquale Esposito! Mayssa made her name with the song “White Rabbit” which was featured on the soundtrack to the 2013 film ‘American Hustle’.
Mayssa Karaa’s musical message is about empowerment and overcoming adversity. An American citizen born in Beirut, Lebanon, Mayssa Karaa infuses middle eastern influences into modern global pop, melding an inspiring, unique, creative blend. And with two great tracks already available, her debut “Simple Cure” is shaping up to launch Mayssa on the world music stage.
Television audiences might recognize her from the popular PBS Special, Enrico Caruso: His Life, His Cities, His Music, featuring Placido Domingo in Naples. (She is also featured in the follow-up that was released in the Spring of 2018). International families might identify her with “The Arabic Alphabet Song” from Sesame Street that has generated over 25 million YouTube views so far.
