Rising British star Joe Slater releases “Slow It Down”.
Hailing from Liverpool and at just 22 years of age, Joe Slater delivers a smooth, saturating blend of rock, blues and soul that is beyond his years. His new single “Slow It Down” could well be the track that breaks him big time, and we hope it does. It’s sensational! 2018 had already been a successful year for the young singer-songwriter. It saw Joe perform at prestigious events such as the Hard Rock Cafe stage at the Isle of Wight Festival, The Cornbury Festival, the first anniversary of The Ned, the opening of Soho House White City, and The View from The Shard.
Last Summer, Joe entered the studio with Grammy Award winning producer Kipper at the world famous State Of The Ark studios. Joined by a live band that have individually toured alongside music royalty such as Paul McCartney, Adele and Grace Jones. The forthcoming EP will contain tracks such as “Rainbow”, taking inspiration from an Elvis Presley interview. “Slow It Down” follows the singles “To The Creator” and “Nothing Ever Seems To Change” along with “Rainbow” as Joe turns out amazing new music time and time again.
Two weeks after the release of his single “Lady” things were certainly taking off for Joe, the young lad from Croxteth. His launch party at Soho’s Arts Theatre Club was packed. Faces in the audience included music industry heavy-weights such as BAFTA winning mixer Nigel Heath, Hard Rock Cafe’s Sarah Handy, social influencers Music Crowns, Cornbury Festival founder Hugh Phillimore and National Radio Plugger Jeff Chegwin. Within 48 hours “Lady” was picked up by BBC Radio Merseyside and subsequently given national BBC Introducing radio-play by Tom Robinson on Radio Six who commented “Lady carries such absolute conviction you can’t help but get swept up in its gravitational pull. He’s clearly a man on a major musical mission”.
Then came the call from British Airways confirming that Joe’s new EP “State Of The Ark” will be available on all long haul flights from February. To add froth to the story Joe has been chosen as Caffe Nero’s artist of the month in December, with LADY and other unreleased tracks playing in-store every day across their global estate. Requests for live appearances are flooding in with dates already confirmed at the new ICON Outlet stage at London’s O2, The Drawing Room in Chesham, The Back Room Bar of London’s The Hard Rock Cafe and The Rotunda at Kings Place. Joe Slater has ‘taken off’, but as those listening on BA will discover, there’s a lot of great music still to be released.
Watch and wait…Joe Slater WILL go all the way!
