Retro artist 10eighty6 releases “Miss You”.
Inspired by the iconic and aesthetic sound of the 1980’s, 10eighty6 is the synth-heavy mind of Bryan Adam Jones. Typically known to release singer-songwriter based songs, Jones has traded his acoustic ramblings for synthesizers and basslines. His latest offering “Miss You” is a glorious nod to film and synthwave music of the mid 1980’s.
10eighty6 told us exactly how this track came about: “Long story short: I came across a 1985 movie called ‘The Legend Of Billie Jean’. When the credits started rolling, I knew two things: 1) I was in love with 1985 Helen Slater, and 2) I felt like writing a song. This is the result, an upbeat synth about love.
10eighty6 joins the ever growing retro/synth 80’s electro music movement, with more than a suggestive production towards NewRetroWave, which we love and follow here at talkaboutpopmusic.com frequently. “Miss You” follows his previous releases “Stay” and “Run”. 10eighty6 adds he is “Just a guy who enjoys making a song in my bedroom every now and then”. Perfect.
