Sam Dickinson releases “From The Glass House Part Two”
Sam Dickinson blends uplifting piano pop, soaring vocals and dramatic orchestration to create an anthem in the making with “All We Are“. It is a welcome return to the music scene for Dickinson and is available now. The track comes from the second instalment of “From The Glass House“, an EP trilogy.
“All We Are” the title track, is the second installment of a three-part EP series titled “From The Glass House” which saw Part One receive BBC Introducing airplay, as well as achieving a position in the iTunes Soul/ RnB top 40 chart. The trilogy was created as a return to music for the artist, following a five year break.
Sam has been a regular performer across the North East, and further afield too, in recent years, as well as a number of appearances at Pride events across the UK, being a regular feature at Newcastle Pride, the UK’s largest free Pride festival, since 2009. “All We Are” which was released last month as an initial taste of what was to come, received airplay on radio stations across the UK including BBC 2, and Pride Radio.
Talking about the project, Sam said: “I want this project to mean something to people. Musically, it’s that blend of pop, dance and soul to create something fresh and now. I was really inspired by the 90’s when creating this EP. It’s reflective and about finding self-worth”. “I wrote ‘All We Are’ with my friend Hattie Murdoch, after we watched a friend of mine, who is a drag queen, be vilified on national television and social media. She’s come back stronger and I sing about how we’re all human beings; we need to come together and work together – especially in this era of Brexit and Trump”.
Since the release of “All We Are” last month, it has gone on to receive acclaim from a number of reviewers. The EP has received over 20,000 streams, and featured on world-wide Spotify playlists.
