HEAVN talks about “Life”.
“Life” is about being young and a little messed up, about wanting to break free and finding your way in life, but mostly it is about being brave enough to move forward and fight for your dreams, regardless of the challenges that life throws at you. Overall, I want to express a message of positivity that encourages people not to be scared of the unknown and to embrace life with all of its imperfections. ‘Life, with a blink of an eye and it’s gone, so I ride and I ride till it’s dawn’, at the end of the day, we only get one life so it’s important that we make the most of it and that we learn to live in the moment.
Originally from Italy, HEAVN’s powerful and haunting vocals combined with a dark, moody synth driven production, perfectly embrace the energy of indie rock with the vulnerability and echo-laden production of alternative R&B. This is the perfect package all wrapped up into a sleek pop production. Her intimate verses build into epic choruses, expressing the dark and youthful themes of love and fear, through an authentic narrative.
After getting her master degree in songwriting and production at Tileyard Studios, she has been collaborating in writing camps around the world – Tileyard Studios (UK); Pop Music Camp (Italy); Palmer Global Ink (Nashville), and performed at some of the London most prestigious venues for up and coming artists including Under The Bridge, Camden Assembly and at The Great Escape Festival. She is currently signed to BNDR Music. Her debut single “High” was premiered on Popular Music YouTube Channel, where it hit more than 200,000 views.
HEAVN tells us: “With the video I wanted to capture the magical feeling of youth, and basically depict life in your 20’s with its ups and downs. The 3min clip follows a group of friends around for one day from start to finish, and focuses on different emotions. The scenes go from happy to melancholic. The wide shots of the city and the sea, as well as the the kids running down the stairs of the famous complex ‘Le Lavatrici’ overlooking the city of Genoa are also meant to express the desire for freedom.
