EVERY UK NUMBER ONE SONG: ‘Roulette’ – Russ Conway
What was the number one song in the UK on 19th June 1959?
By Hayley Beasley Dye
Russ is back with Roulette, which was number one for 2 weeks.
AAARRRGGGHHH, it’s another one of those honky-tonk piano instrumentals, guys. I’m starting to think they were created just to troll me. It’s a firm no from me. I’m sincerely hoping the 60s will have none of this honky-tonk dross, thank you. Did people really sit there in the 50s, willingly and joyfully listening to this? The mind boggles.
Wikipedia

It was the second and final of his two No. 1 hits in the UK Singles Chart; the first being “Side Saddle”.
