LissA returns with “True Love”.
Having already worked the likes of The Him, Filous and Syn Cole to name a few, and with over 80 million Spotify streams to her name to date no less, LissA is one name you’ll certainly be hearing a lot more of over the coming years. Still riding high off the back of her critically lauded single “Gin” back in May, the hotly-tipped singer songwriter now adds to her diverse discography as she makes her eagerly anticipated return to Night Air Records with her latest vocal offering “True Love”.
Produced by up-and-coming French producer Møme, who shot to notoriety following his 2016 hit single “Aloha”, “True Love’s” atmospheric, down-tempo intro is dominated by LissA’s fragile vocals, warped synthesisers and distorted vinyl crackle, before the record dives headfirst into sheer, unadulterated synth-pop euphoria. Thiwss song has to be heard to be believed! It is amazing!
The word ‘organic’ best describes LissA’s approach and ascent. The fast-rising singer-songwriter isn’t rigidly stuck to one sound. Instead she pursues a multitude of different flavours that express the full range of her musical tastes. You’re just as likely to hear LissA release one of her downtempo, beautifully fragile singles like “Zimt” or haunting atmospheric songs like “Not” as you are to hear her collaborate with a world-famous dance music producer.
She writes all her songs on her guitar, these creations later finding their best-fitting style and context without too much force. Her hook-ups with Filous (“Feel Good Inc.”) and The Him (“I Wonder”) have shown her diverse nature and appeal and picked up over 45 million Spotify streams alone, putting her on the global music map in a big way. With some seriously big-name partnerships in the work, her voice will continue to reach an ever-wider audience.
