Youngest person ever to have a UK number one single.

Technically Jimmy Osmond holds the current record for being the youngest person ever to top the UK singles chart. He did it in 1972 with “Long Haired Lover From Liverpool” at the age of 9 years and 8 months.

However…officially that record belongs to Jessica Smith, who was 7 months old when she topped the UK chart in 1997! How? Well, she was The Sun in the children’s television programme The Teletubbies, who hit the top with their song “Teletubbies Say Eh-Oh”!
