From Apes To Angels’ “Turn The Dark On”!
From Apes To Angels are an English synth/dreamwave duo from Kent and Sheffield formed by Millie Gaum (vocals) and Andrew Brassleay (synths) and have been writing and performing music since 2015. “Turn the Dark On” is their latest single to be taken from their upcoming debut LP, “Let The Light In”, which is set to release in March. The LP features 11 other tracks, including collaborations with Irish electronic artist Femmepop and the French synthwave band Chrøønicv.
“Turn The Dark On” follows on from their debut EP “New Skin”, released in 2017. FATA’s music has been featured by Hype Machine blogs and they’ve also received airplay on Amazing Radio among others, and been featured on BBC 6 Music’s Tom Robinson’s Fresh On The Net blog. Their “hypnotic new wave sound and lush melodies” (The Revue) has received plaudits from music bloggers and fans worldwide. In December 2017 they appeared on both volumes of RetroSynth Records’ Ladies of Synth compilation.
