Bisola returns with “Grace Upon Grace”
Award-winning British singer, songwriter and talkaboutpopmusic.com favourite Bisola drops her new track, “Grace Upon Grace”, which in two and half seconds delivers a heart tugging and emotive message everyone can relate to, today! “Grace Upon Grace” is a bold departure in style for Bisola as she fuses elements from the world of classical and pop music with a punchy yet organic sounding Hip-Hop/R&B arrangement, all of which work so well and come together with Bisola’s instantly recognisable voice.
Somehow this mash up works alongside her lyrics about wanting to do better as a person but often falling short of the mark. “Grace Upon Grace” lays down lush vocals and a bold music arrangement that delivers everything you want and expect from a modern day contemporary track. It brings something different to the party which is where it ultimately wins and ends up packing a real punch. Bisola says of the track “When I first went into production to make this track, I knew it was going to be different from what I’d done before. The vision was to connect with listeners in a deeper way through not just the lyrics, but how the song felt and sounded. This isn’t a head or heart song – this is a song you feel with your soul. I want ‘Grace Upon Grace’ to grab people head on but still be soft and sensitive at the same time. I hope I’ve managed to achieve that”.
Bisola is a true musical all-rounder. She won the 2019 International Singer Songwriters Association award for Best International Female Single of the Year for her outstanding song “Come Alive“. “Million Miles” achieved the number 1 spot on a US radio music chart in 2017 and in 2018, her track “This Christmas” was crowned Christmas number 1 by the Radio Indie Alliance music charts. Her songs have featured on BBC Introducing South, Best of British Unsigned and several online radio shows and blogs. Her prowess as performer has secured bookings at world famous venues such as the Notting Hill Arts Club, I Luv Live (at Zigfrid Von Underbelly), Eddie’s Attic (Atlanta) as well as performances at Buryfields and Beacon music festivals among others.
