Idle Youth reach “Pompeii”
Idle Youth are from Camden Town in Central London. The band’s new single, “Pompeii” is a synth pop song rooted in 80’s electronica and post punk. The band did have a string of high profile gigs tied to the release before the current situation, that have now been rescheduled to the Autumn.
The band are self proclaimed “Chromium plated Manhattan cocktail party heroes providing psychedelic sounds for freaks and weirdos”. “Pompeii” is their first release of 2020 and follows “Blue Bloods” in 2019 and “Preface” in 2018, the same year as they released “Gardens”, “Clouds” and “A Lonely Bed”.
