Kia says she’s “Worth It”!
Dutch and Indonesian singer soulwriter Kia is an authentic artist based in Los Angeles whose soulful sound and memorable timbre is ready to be heard. Much like her own mixed heritage, her music is a blend of various genres; a base of neo-soul with a strong emphasis on pop and touches of jazz, funk, hip-hop, and R&B. Kia has written and recorded for several productions like web-series Hard Medicine (USA), Go-Jump! (Germany), G’Day production Honoring Liam Hemsworth and Helen Reddy and Standing Together (USA) and upcoming series Madam$ (UK) and The Walkers (USA).
Kia recently received her first American Award (NAMM President’s Innovation Award), became a top finalist at the IMSTA songwriting competition, a semi-finalist at the International Songwriting Competition (ISC), and with her solo project she now released her latest single “Worth It”, a song all about reflections and self-empowerment which she thinks is very important and especially in the new world we’re living in right now. “Worth It” is her second release of 2020 and follows on the heels of “Pioneer”. The singer is currently a MM student at the California State University in Los Angeles for Vocal Performance where she specialises in Commercial Music.
