TRIVIA: The Curious Tale of The Eurythmics’ UK Chart Positions

So you ask yourself, “what is so strange about The Eurythmics?”

Well, they’ve had NINE UK top ten hits, all of which visited all but one of the top ten positions, the only act that this has happened to!

1 – “There Must Be An Angel” in 1985
2 – “Sweet Dreams” in 1983
3 – “Who’s That Girl?” in 1983
4 – “Sexcrime (1984)” in 1984
5 – “Thorn In My Side” in 1986
6 – “Love Is A Stranger” in 1983
8 – “Here Comes The Rain Again” in 1984
9 – “Sisters Are Doing It For Themselves” in 1985
10 – “Right By Your Side” in 1983

So what about a No.7, Dave and Annie…?

Incidentally, the pair also continued their one time chart positions after the top ten with:

11 – “I Saved The World Today” in 1999
12 – “It’s Alright (Baby’s Coming Back)” in 1986

as well as having ONE number 14, 16 and 17 peaking single.

The 20’s were a different matter!
