Best selling DJ and producer Kygo has turned his hand to ‘livening’ up another 80’s classic, this time it’s Tina Turner’s “What Love Got To Do With It?”. Using much of the original backing tracks, Kygo’s rework gives the song a new edge and perspective.
“What Love Got To Do With It?” follows on from his reproduction of Whitney Houston’s version of Steve Winwood’s 1986 hit “Higher Love” that set the charts around the world alight when it wa released racking up millions of streams and taking the song higher in multiple countries.
“What Love Got To Do With It?” was written by British songwriters Graham Lyle and Terry Britten, and went to No.1 in America and No.3 in the UK, whilst being a top ten hit in more than twenty other countries. It was used as the title for the 1993 biopic about Tina’s early life and the accompanying soundtrack album that was a UK chart topper and a hit all round the world a decade on from its original release.
