COVER vs ORIGINAL: ‘Owner Of A Lonely Heart’

The song, “Owner Of A Lonely Heart”, was originally recorded by Yes in 1983

“Owner Of A Lonely Heart” was written by Trevor Rabin, Jon Anderson, Chris Squire and Trevor Horn of British band Yes and released in October 1983 as the lead single from their album, “90125”. It became their biggest US chart hit, going all the way to the top, although it fared less well at home in the UK, where it stopped at No.28.

The song was ‘covered’ or rather remixed into a dance anthem by DJ Max Graham in 2005. This time it did make into the UK top ten, reaching No.9 as well as being a big hit across Europe and a mid charting song in Australia, although this version saw no commercial release Stateside.

But which version is the best? YES’ original or MAX GRAHAM’s remix?
