McFly 2007

TRIVIA: The Biggest Fall From No.1 On The UK Chart

Which song have people lost interest in after reaching number one in the UK?

The record for the biggest drop in UK singles chart history belongs, to date, to McFly. Their 2007 double A sider “Baby’s Coming Back/Transylvania”, which reached No.1 in May, then sank to No.20 the following week!

This came only two years after an Elvis re-release of “One Night” went to No.1 and dropped to No.20 the following week. Although Elvis could have two valid excuses for doing that. 1. there were insufficient stocks in the shops due to the limited nature of its release and 2. the track had been available as a single before.
