THEN & NOW: Tony Hadley

Spandau Ballet singer Tony Hadley has returned to his pop roots with his brand new single, “Because Of You”, which builds up and up to a quite fantastic bopping and infectious chorus hook.

Tony is also embarking on a delayed 40th anniversary tour this Summer, celebrating four decades of of hits since Spandau Ballet made the top five with their debut single, “To Cut A Long Story Short”, back in 1980. The band achieved a further nine UK top ten hits with, most memorably, “Gold” and “True”, which also made the top five in America.

“Because Of You” is his first new recording for two years and while his former band enjoyed unrivalled success in the 80’s, the only solo single of Tony’s to make the top 40 was as a guest vocalist on dance act Tin Tin Out’s 1997 single, “Dance With Me”.
