THEN & NOW: ‘Search For The Hero’

Former M People lead singer Heather Small has jumped on the ‘reimagined’ band wagon as she releases her new album, “Colour Of Life”, a selection of re-recorded M People hits, stripped back and with a full orchestra, presenting the former soul-dance classics in a very different light.

Already available from that album have been “Excited” from 1992, “Moving On Up” from 1993 and Heather’s own solo smash hit, “Proud”, from 2000. Joining the list is one of M People’s biggest and most iconic tunes, “Search For The Hero”, which was a top ten hit in the UK in the Summer of 1995.

Heather’s vocals are as recognisable as ever and command the stage even more so with this new recording with strings and percussion, allowing the deep and thunderous lyrics of this all time favourite to be heard. The album takes its title from a very early M People hit which reached No.35 in early 1992.
