David Archuleta gets “Movin’ (After Hours)”

Pop

David Archuleta became a star when he was just 16 years old. In 2008, more than 30 million American television viewers fell in love with his angelic voice and their 44 million votes made him runner-up and fan favorite in Season 7 of American Idol.

Soon after, David’s debut single “Crush” debuted at No.2 on the Billboard Hot 100. The track sold 166,000 downloads in its first week.

David released his self-titled debut album soon after and it went gold, selling more than 760,000 copies and more than 900,000 copies worldwide. More recently, David has released “The Therapy Sessions”, in which he opens up about his own internal struggles with himself.

Since then, he has released three brand new tracks from an as yet incomplete ninth studio album including “Movin'”, the original version of which was first released in 2021. The track has been updated recently with a new mix from co-writer and producer Nate Dodge and turned into “Movin’ (After Hours)” and comes with a completely new music video to boot, allowing David to really shake his stuff and let his hair down!

David not only confines himself to the music business. He has popped up on US TV shows, written a children’s book (My Little Prayer in 2021) and taken to the stage in the title role of Joseph And The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat on Broadway! David’s music has so far been limited to his home country as well as in Japan and Sweden, where “Crush” was also a hit. He has recorded with Hannah Montana and made No.74 in America with the song “I Wanna Know You” in 2009 and charted in both The States and in Canada with recordings from his American Idol heats with John Lennon’s “Imagine” and Elton John’s “Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me”.
