It’s been five years since her last album and 25 years since “Come On Over” but Shania Twain is back with her addictive brand of Country-Pop with her smashing new single, “Waking Up Dreaming”. The track is the first taste of her upcoming sixth studio album, which is due out ‘sometime in 2023’.
Shania made her debut back in 1993 and achived her breakout hit Stateside and in her native Canada with “Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under?” in 1995. The song came from her second album, “The Woman In Me”, which sold over 20 million copies. It was in 1998 that she brokeout internationally with the single “You’re Still The One” and her phenomenally successful album “Come On Over”, which is one of the biggest sellers of all time with over 40 million copies sold.
Since then, Shania has regaled us with the likes of “Man, I Feel Like A Woman”, “That Don’t Impress Me Much” and “I’m Gonna Getcha Good”. After some time away from music, Shania beat a return in 2017 with the album “Now” which topped both the UK and US album charts while in 2021, she hooked up with Irish singer Ronan Keating for the track “Forever And Ever, Amen“.
