THE sensational Norwegian pop singer, Dagny returns this week with her brand new single “Highs & Lows”. The track arrives in the wake of a busy summer of festival appearances and a run of sold-out headline shows.
“Highs & Lows” follows the release of recent standalone song “Brightsider” and is the latest song to be released before she begins work on her much-anticipated second full length album.
“Highs & Lows” is a moving, personal pop ballad centred around the notion of standing by someone during the most difficult of times.
The Tromsø, Norway born Dagny Norvoll Sandvik is an irrepressible pop force. To date, Dagny’s music has been streamed over a billion times, she’s been nominated for 6 Norwegian Grammy’s (Spellemannprisen), co-written songs for Katy Perry, Ashnikko, and Julie Bergan, and collaborated with acts including Liverpool indie-rock heroes The Wombats, American super-producer Steve Aoki, fellow Norwegian powerhouses Astrid S and EDM duo Seeb, and Spanish-English indie-pop outfit Crystal Fighters.
Dagny’s debut album “Strangers/Lovers“, released in May 2020, proved she’s in the songwriting form of her life.
This year, Dagny embarked on a sold-out Norwegian tour that lasted for over two months, selling over 16,000 tickets in the process. She has since returned to play 3 sold out headline shows in London, Berlin and Amsterdam, amidst a busy summer of Norway festivals – most notably a prestigious slot on the main stage at Norway’s biggest summer festival Øyafestivalen.
