Thirty years after it became a global smash hit, Ace Of Base are back with a brand new remix of their breakout single, “All That She Wants”, courtesy of fellow Swedish production duo Helion. Formed of Oscar Lindberg and Adam Albinsson, Helion have been going since 2016 and have been responsible for a number of remixed tracks including Kylie’s “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head“!
It was Jonas Berggren and Ulf Ekberg of Ace Of Base that wrote the song back in 1992 and it became a huge hit across mainland Europe, topping the charts in over ten countries. They took it global in 1993 when it spent three weeks at the top in the UK and later went to No.1 in Australia. America beckoned in late 93-early 94 when the song peaked at No.2, being held off the top by Meat Loaf’s “I’d Do Anything For Love…”.
“All That She Wants” has gone on to sell over four million copies worldwide since and started a string of hits for the group for the next few years that also included the smash hit “The Sign”, all from their debut album “Happy Nation”, which also became a worldwide hit shifting over 21 million copies. This new version strays away from the Reggae-Pop style of the original and presents it in a techno-Dance light with enhancements to the lead vocals that could almost justify as a whole new original release!
