Eighty Ninety say she has a “Face Like A Sunset”
Indie-Pop
The boys are back! No sooner than they had hit us with “Stay Alive” and “2 Carat”, Eighty Ninety release their brand new track, “Face Like A Sunset”, today!
The Indie-Pop project of brothers Abner (vocals, production) and Harper (guitar, production) James, “Face Like A Sunset” offers a dreamy glimpse of their forthcoming debut album.
The track is accentuated with Abner’s signature breathy vocals which glide over a steady, driving indie-pop instrumentation. It’s a blissful track that feels just like a warm Summer eve. As yet untitled, Eighty Ninety’s debut album has been a long time coming and with many tracks already written and recorded, it can’t be easy to pick the few that will make the final list.
Eighty Ninety continue to build a solid base around the world with their harmless, catching and often heartfelt numbers. To date, they’ve racked up over 33 million streams across their singles and two EPs – “Elizabeth” and “The Night Sky“.
Abner explains a bit more about the latest single: “It’s a song about the little moments when you realise you’re falling in love, and how the very moment you realize you want to spend forever with someone, you begin to feel the press of time. A sunset is beautiful partly because you know it won’t last”.
With three gorgeous songs already offered this year, and their recent mini-album (“The Night Sky”), Eighty Ninety are ready to give the world lots more. The boys have got this far all by themselves, simply through crafting beautiful and thought provoking songs like “Face Like A Sunset” that set them out from all the rest. Bring it on!
