Sam Dickinson prepares to release his first new material in three years
Having taken a reasonable break and secured himself a record deal, our good friend Sam Dickinson is pleased to announce he has a brand new song coming out later this month. “Falling” is the first to come from a new album he has been working on and recording, and it is released on AEC Music, Sam’s first record label since he began his musical journey back in 2013.
“Falling” is a dance fuelled, club inspired Summer anthem in waiting, so if you think you know Sam Dickinson music, then think again! This is different…and we’ve had an exclusive listen to it and it rocks! Sam tells us “I have hinted at dance music for a long time and I’m excited to finally celebrate such an amazing genre of music”.
His new song comes nearly three years since his last studio album, “Off Script“, which featured his cover of Mica Paris‘ “Carefree” along with Everything But The Girl‘s “Missing” and many other awesome tracks. “Falling” comes from the album which is titled “Collection: The Stories”, due later this year, with the lead single aptly ‘falling’ ten years to the day – 21st July – that Sam’s debut album, “The Stories That Occurred”, was released!
Sam has been played extensively on radio, including the UK’s most listened to radio station, BBC Radio 2, with Graham Norton saying, “he just keeps getting better and better” and Sirius XM in the United States, who described his vocals as “a modern Meat Loaf”. His music has been streamed more than one million times. He has experimented between soul, pop and dance whilst continuing being a staple on one of the UK’s most popular LGBTQI+ radio station, Pride Radio. Welcome back Sam, we look forward to talking to you soon!
Stay tuned for more from Sam in the coming weeks, but in the meantime…
