THEN & NOW: Tameko Star

American singer Tameko Star is about to release her first new material for many years with an upcoming EP of songs that includes her ‘comeback’ single “Something Beautiful”, which premiered a few months ago.

It was back in the mid 1990’s that Tameko made her name when she joined the Dance act Livin’ Joy and enjoyed smash hits with “Don’t Stop Movin'” and “Follow The Rules”, both of which made the UK top ten and were huge club hits across the world.

Tameko later re-recorded the group’s biggest hit “Dreamer”, which topped the UK singles chart upon re-release in 1995. She went on to perform with Peter Andre and the Spice Girls before dropping out of the music industry for some years. 90’s revival festivals in recent years have seen Livin’ Joy regroup to perform all their hits from their album “Don’t Stop Movin'” across the UK and Europe.
