Africa’s hottest rising music star Tyla has released her alluring new single “Water”. An ultra-smooth mood-setter, the track is a refreshing blend of Amapiano and Afrobeats with sensual R&B, essential for every summer playlist.
“Water” is produced by GRAMMY-nominated British producer and songwriter, Sammy Soso and is co-written by Corey Marlon Lindsay-Keay, Ari PenSmith and Mocha.
The range of influences on “Water” signify the versatility of Tyla’s style and capabilities; always staying true to her South African roots as she fuses polished vocal melodies with Afrobeats and Amapiano rhythm, creating a fresh take on the current Amapiano fever spreading globally.
2023 continues to be a milestone year for Tyla. Following the release of her sizzling hit “Been Thinking” in January, she opened for Chris Brown on the European leg of his Under The Influence Tour, which included five dates at London’s O2 Arena. While on the road, she made her Fashion Week debut in Milan, sitting front row at the Dolce & Gabbana show next to Kim Kardashian. She also recently released her collaboration with Major Lazer and Major League DJz ‘Ke Shy’.
