Liz Cass drips elan with her new stunner “Too Hot”
Disco-Pop
Liz Cass has just released her brand new single “Too Hot”, a scorching Pop track which glistens with an 80’s Disco shimmer as she casts away fickle past relationships among its infectious funky groove.
“Too Hot” has been produced by William Dinesen and mixed and mastered by DARGZ. It is the first taste of a new, wider body of work to follow soon!
It was last year that we came into contact with Liz with her fabulous single “Something Real” and she delivers even bigger vibes and hooks with this brand new smasher. Liz released her debut album, “The Words”, to great acclaim last year, the stunning record captured a pivotal moment for Liz, playing as a process of healing. The album was picked up by BBC Radio 1 and that ensured that Liz was on a good footing.
Liz puts her distinct pop twist on classic sounds from the 80’s, 90’s and beyond, to pay homage to these influences she released the “Teardrops” EP earlier this Summer. A choice selection of songs from Womack and Womack, Joy Division, Mazzy Star and Rialto, she covered them with her unique touch as her broad vocals paired with soaring synths and downtempo beats.
Liz proves her flame continues to burn bright with the release of “Too Hot”, and if this is only a glimmer of what to expect of her next long player, then we say “bring it on”! Liz uses music and songwriting as ‘therapy’ to her help her through good time and bad. Now established and rising ever higher Liz says “I’ve felt a lot freer in general working on this and less anxious about releasing it all”. Hot!
