FRESH: ‘Last Resort’ – KiD RAiN

KiD RAiN says this is his “Last Resort”

Pop

KiD RAiN is on fire after a big reaction to his Summer hit “Something To Hate“, which earned his first Radio 1 Future Pop & Future Artist plays as well as his debut BBC Introducing session.

KiD RAiN now goes bigger still as he shares his brand new single “Last Resort”, another superb, unashamed pop masterpiece from the artist we have been following since he debuted with “Say Yes“.

“Last Resort” is arguably the finest example so far of KiD RAiN’s ability to write huge pop songs. His conversational lyricism possesses a barrage of personality as his bright vocals tell the story of being someone’s ‘Last Resort’. But he may well have the last laugh as everyone else has already worked out what’s going on: “My friends all fucking hate you ‘cos they’ve told me before, you only ever treat me like your last resort.”

“Last Resort” was entirely produced and performed by KiD RAiN. He wrote the song with the alternative hip-hop solo artist Usna. If KiD RAiN is feeling down about being a “Last Resort”, there’s no sign of it in the track’s video with a performance that captures the relentless energy of his live show, which has previously seen him tour with and perform alongside The Vamps in arenas. As well as sell out his own headline tour, with building a true fan community at shows including Dingwalls and The Camden Assembly. And keep an eye out for a few moments of sharp self-deprecating humour too as the song’s lyrics flash up on screen.

“Last Resort” will feature on KiD RAiN’s upcoming six-track EP, his biggest body of work to date which was worked on with Will Reeves (G-Eazy, Joy Crookes) and Charlie Holmes (Ed Sheeran, Niall Horan, Anne Marie). His recent sessions also include work with Roy Stride, the Scouting For Girls frontman who recently co-wrote Jax Jones and Calum Scott’s Silver-certified Top 15 hit “Whistle”.
