TACTICS revives Let Loose classic “Crazy For You”
Dance
Rising UK producer TACTICS brings the 90’s emphatically to the modern dancefloor with his new single “Crazy For You”, a cover of Let Loose‘s chart smash from 1994.
With a high energy Bassline, TACTICS spins the original’s nostalgic piano and iconic vocal melodies into an uptempo dance anthem, and more than proves his production chops!
Hailing from Bradford, TACTICS – better known as Dmitry Vinokurov – is the up and coming producer behind Bad Boy Chiller Crew’s 2021 hit “Don’t You Worry About Me” and later 2022’s “BMW”, which made No.7 on the UK singles chart, as well as much of their forthcoming new album, “Influential”, due out on 10th November. Now he turns his attention to British group Let Loose’s song “Crazy For You”, which when re-released in the Summer of 1994, peaked at No.2 in the UK.
His signature sound comes from a mix of influences. As a kid, TACTICS grew up on Sidewinder Garage packs (Pay As U Go Cartel, So Solid Crew, Heartless Crew, DJ Luck & MC Neat). He discovered his love for bassline through DJs like Chris Lorenzo and collecting Classic Organ House vinyl (Robin S, DJ Antoine).
TACTICS had a clear passion for music, but production wasn’t always the obvious career choice. Born in Russia, TACTICS served in the army, making music as a hobby, so he could have secret weapons of his own. He cites hit-makers Scott Storch, Max Martin, Dr. Dre and Pharrell as inspirations. After TACTICS left the military, he enrolled at Point Blank Music School, honing his craft with tutor, Shadow Child. The rest is history.
