“Hold On To Now” with Kylie
Pop
Kylie has made available the extended version of her new single, “Hold On To Now”, ahead of it’s full release next week as the third track to come from her number one album, “Tension“.
“Hold On To Now” has instantly become one of the most popular songs on the album with rave reviews (our own included) and a real sense that this is one of the standouts.
The track, written by Kylie and regular collaborator Richard Stannard, along with Duck Blackwell and Jon Green, is a gorgeous, uplifting Electro-Pop anthem which even after one play, is instantly singable and recognisable, and is already one of Kylie’s very best compositions of recent years. So it was hardly surprising that it was picked as the next release from “Tension”.
The song carries its own eurphoria with angelic backing vocals, choral vocals and a wicked beat to it once it kicks in during the second half of the chorus. The song has been likened to some of Robyn’s best, while other critics have heard sounds of New Order and matching it for quality with “All The Lovers” and “Into The Blue“. Whatever the thoughts, “Hold On To Now” made an appearance on download charts even before the track was announced as a single and has even reached the UK singles chart peaking at No.81 on its own merits!
“Superb Electro-Pop anthem that grows and gets better and better. An album standout. Long drawnout ending. A higher love. Awesome. A single and a HUGE hit awaiting…”

With the release of “Hold On To Now” officially as a single on 10th November, Kylie will also issue a new version of “Tension” in extended format, just as she did with the “Disco” album in 2021, with all eleven tracks on the standard edition getting a longer play, and with highlights such as “Things We Do For Love” and “You Still Get Me High”, this is one not to be missed! “Extension” will be released on 8th December and represents the fourth version of the album to date (standard, deluxe and bonus deluxe already available).
