EMF, remember them? Yup THAT EMF, who were “Unbelievable” in 1990 are back with a brand new song called “Hello People”, and it features comedian and actor Stephen Fry! It’s the lead single from the band’s brand new album, “The Beauty And The Chaos”, which is out next year.
“Hello People” is a call to stand with tolerance against the hate-myths of immigration, and along with the original version, there is the “Hello People” ‘Facts vs Fear remix’ featuring Fry on spoken vocals. EMF are also going on tour next year to promote the album, which is only their fifth in 33 years!
EMF popped up in the Autumn of 1990 with their unforgettable debut single that went to No.3 in the UK and went top ten around the world. They scored seven further UK top 40 charting singles and three chart hit albums from 1990-1995 before calling it a day.
Now reduced to a 5-piece set after the sad and tragic death of Zac Foley in 2002 aged just 31, EMF are really going for it this time following their comeback album “Go Go Sapiens” that was released last year, which featured the single “Sister Sandinista”, their first for 21 years.
