Agnetha Fältskog gets Christmasy with a new version of an old classic

Not only has she re-recorded “I Keep Them On The Floor Beside My Bed” for her updated “A+” album this year, now Agnetha Fältskog presents another version of the song for Christmas!

The track, which she herself wrote with producer Jorgen Elofsson for her 2013 album “A”, has been given a sprinkling of seasonal dust and with a few bells jingling, sets Agnetha up for a warm night by the fire.

As with all the songs on both versions of her smash hit album, Agnetha’s soft and understated vocals form the centrepiece of this gorgeous ballad that closed the original album, highlighting her own ability as a songwriter, something she had demonstrated as a young girl on many solo albums prior to joining ABBA and enjoying countless hits throughout the 1970’s.

Agnetha’s reloaded “A+” album has been a top ten success in her home country as well as across Europe, entering the UK Independent Album Chart at No.7. “I Keep Them On The Floor Beside My Bed” becomes the sixth single to be lifted from the ‘A’ project and follows the brand new recording, “Where Do We Go From Here?“.
