Kylie comes back for a second TV audience with!

Kylie Minogue AO, OBE joins the likes of ‘Dame’ Edna Everage, Sir Ken Dodd, Dame Shirley Bassey and Joan Rivers when she hosts her second Audience With for UK television channel, ITV. The long running programme that began in 1980 with Dame Edna, will broadcast a second helping of Kylie, this time filmed at the Royal Albert Hall and comes twenty-two years after her first outing.

It was back in 2001 that Kylie joined the list of people like Kenneth Williams, Sir Peter Ustinov, Victoria Wood, Bob Monkhouse, Bruce Forsyth and others in performing her back catalogue and tracks from her new album “Fever” to an all-star celebrity audience as well as taking questions and giving some very honest and sometimes embarrassing answers! Kylie was joined on stage with dancer Adam Garcia and none other than Kermit the Frog!

Kylie was there to promote the album “Fever”, her eighth studio album which had already been ably cemented with her enormous global smash “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head“. “Fever” would go on to become her biggest ever and top the charts around the world, also becoming her most successful in America, where it debuted at No.3. Fast forward 22 years and Kylie this time is also performing some of her greatest hits as well as tracks from her latest album, “Tension“, along with the CGYOOMH tune of today, “Padam Padam”.

This time the audience has been opened up to members of the public, who fought tooth and nail to get tickets to the show, along with the star-studded guests, many of them friends of Kylie as well as some faces from her Stock Aitken Waterman days, doubtless still agog at the legend that was created by Mike, Matt and Pete 35 years ago and one who is still very much at the top of her game as well as being at the top of the charts, 35 years after her debut album went to No.1.

For now though, sit back and enjoy things as they were in 2001, and pull up a memory or two…
