FRESH: ‘Alarm Clock’ – Sheryl Crow

Sheryl Crow sets her “Alarm Clock” for 2024!

Pop-Rock

Sheryl Crow is back with new music for 2024! Her first album in five years, “Evolution”, is released in a couple of months and she showcases it with her brand new single, “Alarm Clock”.

“Alarm Clock” is classic Crow harking back to her first album, “Tuesday Night Music Club”, which is now over thirty years old.

The song is an upbeat, Pop-Rock track which sees Sheryl really letting her hair down and enjoying herself lyrically for the first time in many years along with co-writer Mike Elizondo, whose credits include Nelly Furtado and Mary J Blige to name but a few.

“Evolution” is Sheryl’s first album of fresh material since “Threads” in 2019, which was a fusion of new original songs as well as covers of tunes from Bob Dylan and The Rolling Stones, and saw her record and duet with the likes of Kris Kristofferson, Stevie Nicks and Neil Young. The album went top thirty in America and top ten in the UK, Sheryl’s highest charting release there since “C’mon, C’mon” in 2002.

Thirty years ago in 1994, Sheryl Crow scored her first global hit with “All I Wanna Do”. Her album, “Tuesday Night Music Club”, going top ten in over twenty five countries and shifting over ten million copies. Sheryl became a staple for the rest of the decade and into the 2000’s with hits like “If It Makes You Happy” and “My Favourite Mistake”. Sheryl was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in late 2023 with “Evolution” announced the same day. The album is released on 29th March.
