I have a playlist that contains every UK number one song since charts began in 1952. Thanks to EveryHit, this is a fairly simple process. Let’s remind ourselves of these songs.

“Long Live Love” by Sandie Shaw was Number One on 29th May 1965 and stayed there for three weeks.

Sandie was one of the women who is known for epitomising the “swinging Sixties” and this is a brilliant song to remember the Sixties to.

But put some shoes on please Sandie – your feet stink!
