I have a playlist that contains every UK number one song since charts began in 1952. Thanks to EveryHit, this is a fairly simple process. Let’s remind ourselves of these songs.

“Massachusetts” by The Bee Gees was Number One on 14th October 1967 and stayed there for four weeks.

This is one of my favourite Bee Gees songs, there’s just something really comforting about it.

Robin Gibb sang lead vocals on this one and it really became “his” song in my opinion.

It was originally intended to be recorded by The Seekers and they actually recorded a version of it following Maurice Gibb’s death in 2003.

Interestingly none of the members of the Bee Gees have ever been to Massachusetts.

Tune in to me on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube…
