Eurovision Song Contest 2016: Montenegro – “The Real Thing” By Highway

Eurovision 2016 is almost upon us and as the countries begin to reveal their entries let’s start giving them the once-over. 

As I will be attending the grand final this year it’s even more super exciting for me!

The Montenegro song is called “Hear Them Calling” and is performed by Highway.

ARTIST

Highway is a Montenegrin pop-rock band from Podgorica. They became famous after the success in the regional TV show X Factor Adria. Their performances in the show received significant support from the jury and audience, bringing them popularity in the region.

The band consists of Petar Tosic (lead vocal), Luka Vojvodic (guitar and vocal), Marko Pesic (guitar and vocal) and an associate member Bojan Jovovic (keyboards and vocal).

SONG

The song is composed by Skansi – a renowned Croatian producer who has previously worked with numerous Croatian top performers such as Dino Dvornik, with whom he made Dino’s latest album Pandora’s Box and among many other songs,

OPINION

Wow – this starts off with a bang, it’s very rocky! Sadly, that’s where my interest peaked and didn’t ever come back. It sounds like an old record that’s being played on the wrong speed and it’s not for me!
