Eurovision 2017 – Switzerland

The Switzerland song is called “Apollo” and performed by Timebelle.

ARTIST

Timebelle are a rocking, high-power pop group from Bern, Switzerland. Members Miruna Manescu – lead vocals, Samuel Forster – drums and Emanuel Daniel Andriescu – sax, clarinet, piano. This is the band’s second attempt to represent their country after falling short in 2015.

SONG

The song is called ‘Apollo’ who is supposed to be the Greek God of music. Will this song have the Gods on its side come May? It was chosen during a national selection final on February 5th with a total of 6 competing entries

OPINION

This song was by far the best out of all the other entires in the national selection. Yes, it’s another ballad but it’s a bloody good ballad and it already sounds familiar to me. Is it just me that thinks it’s very similar to ‘Impossible’ by James Arthur or Shontelle?

PREDICTION

I can’t see this not qualifying and is so far one of my favourite ballad entries If it gets a good place in the running order it could do well but if it’s at the beginning of the final I think it could be forgotten.
