Who has had the longest span of number one songs in the UK chart? Well, Elvis Presley has had the most but which artist has had the longest span?
It’s Cliff Richard, of course!
Sir Cliff Richard had his first chart-topper “Living Doll” in 1959. His latest was “The Millennium Prayer” in 1999, a span of 40, 4 months and 15 days. (+ 21 days for total span).
What would be my favourite Cliff number one? Since it’s not Christmas I shouldn’t choose “Mistletoe & Wine” (which is my actual favourite) so I will choose the re-issue of “Living Doll”.
