Last FM has passed 100 billion plays!
The music tracking and recommendation website which was launched in 2004 has surpassed an incredible milestone with having over 100 billion songs played – scrobbled – using its platform. Find out more details about these stats on the 100 billion page on their site.
Those stats are amazing and I’d like to thank Last FM for their awesome service and share back some of my stats since I started using it over 10 years ago…
I have listened to almost 115’000 songs by over 10000 different artists which works out on average to 23 songs listened to per day…
The site allows for vast historical listening data so now I can go back and check what I was listening to by year, month, week and even on any particular day from the last 10 years – how amazing is that?
This is what I listened to on the first day I ever used Last FM…
Well, it would be rude if I didn’t include the video to the first ever song I scrobbled…
Interesting to see the listening history peaks and I’m sure that since I only use Spotify for my music now which now has an integrated scrobbler – the scrobbles are going up year on year…
The top ten artists scrobbled is not too much of a surprise for me, click on the image to see the complete list…
The top ten albums…
And finally…
Can you contain your excitement?
It’s time to reveal…
The most played tracks…
Well it just had to be that song, didn’t it! Here is is “I Am Not A Robot” by Marina and The Diamonds.
Thanks LastFM – here’s to the next 100 billion songs!
What about you? Do you use it? If so, share your stats with me in the comments below or tweet me @PopAndTalk or if not then you really, really should consider it!

1 Billion plays, wow. I still use the site every day and I love seeing where my stats are, using Zero Charts as an additional tool to see the chart runs of all of my artists, albums, tracks etc. Here’s to another billion!
Oh I’ll need to check out Zero Charts
