‘A Star Is Born’

By Steve McSteveface

“Seasoned musician Jackson Maine discovers — and falls in love with — struggling artist Ally. She has just about given up on her dream to make it big as a singer until Jackson coaxes her into the spotlight. But even as Ally’s career takes off, the personal side of their relationship is breaking down, as Jackson fights an ongoing battle with his own internal demons

This is the fourth remake of this film since the original film was released in 1937. This time Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper take on the lead roles.

I am a huge fan of Lady Gaga but wasn’t that impressed with her acting in American Horror Story a few years ago. I didn’t let that put me off watching the movie and I am so glad for that.

She is AWESOME in this movie.

After a few minutes you completely forget that is Lady Gaga, well, until you hear her amazing voice that is. What a STAR!

It would be wrong to not mention the superb performance that Bradley Cooper also delivered!

It’s quite a long film and I must admit that I did have a couple of micro-sleeps but I have to say I really enjoyed this and cannot recommend it highly enough.

The main song from the movie is ‘Shallow’ and it’s a belter of a track that really shows off Lady Gaga’s voice.
