Mason Murphy releases his new single “Basement”.
Utah based singer and songwriter Mason Murphy has just released his latest track “Basement” as the follow up to “No Apologies”, a song which we featured late last year.
Mason Murphy hails from Salt Lake City, UT. After spending his early years as an introverted bedroom guitar player, he developed a love for songwriting and began drawing inspiration from songwriters like Rob Thomas and John Mayer to craft his sound. He began producing his own music shortly after. That is where songs like “City Girl” and “The Hardest Part” came to be. He has since developed a sensitive, pop-infused, late night drive sound featuring his own strong vocals and mastered electric guitar riffs.
“Basement” is an anthem for the introverts. Mason wrote this song about being stuck in his basement but “Basement” is representation of anything holding you down physically, mentally, or merely a personality. He wanted to dedicated this song to everyone who wishes they could just get out of their basement.
