It’s All About You!
Here at Talk About Pop Music one of our major frustrations is when artists don’t have details on the ‘About’ page on their Spotify profile!
Why?
If we are listening to a song on Spotify and want to tag it on Facebook post or share it on Twitter, it’s so much easier to go to the artists ‘About’ page and click on the social media links directly from there.
When there are no links it sometimes takes too long to find the Facebook page or Twitter account so we simply have to give up and the artist misses out on a mention.
There’s also a Bio section which allows us to find out more about the artist if we need to write a ‘Fresh‘ feature about them.
Be like Sam!
As you can see below Sam Dickinson has everything updated and has the perfect About page…
The About page also shows how many listeners an artist has had from being featured on our playlists.
We’re currently working with Sam to help promote him and you can see our playlists are helping a little and after all – every little helps!
What are you waiting for?
If you don’t have these details on your About page then do it now or if it’s your publicist that does it then tell them to do their job properly and get them to update it for you.
Spotify have very kindly created a great FAQ section for all things you can do with your Spotify Artist profile so it shouldn’t take you too long to get it updated.
