London solo newcomer Kings releases her debut single “Colour”.
London-based independent newcomer Kings is a proponent of powerful, melancholic anthems. Her smoldering vocal moves between a careworn whisper to a desolate cry as she explores themes of traumatic love, abandonment and mental health.
Having played a string of sold-out shows opening for Lewis Capaldi across Europe and selling out her debut show without music online, this is her debut, “Colour”.
It is a protest against the pressures of meeting people’s expectations; against the pains of contorting yourself to fit into a box that others have built for you, to the point where you are so exhausted of changing shape that you forget your own form. “Colour” will be play-listed on the biggest Swiss national radio station as of Monday.
