by Christopher Smith

Internet sensation, Carrie Manolakos, drops her highly anticipated new original song, “Made Of Stars”, in the wake of her viral version of Radiohead’s “Creep”. Her live performance of “Creep” took the internet by storm, Carrie Manolakos took some much needed time to dial in a new LP full of originals and covers. The third single from her forthcoming record “The 44th Chord” is titled “Made of Stars”, and it is shining bright!

As a singer and songwriter, Carrie has been selling out venues all over New York City, as well as other cities across the country and catching the attention of stars such as Alec Baldwin, Trey Anastasio and Josh Groban. Carrie was featured as the top story on Gawker, saying her rendition of the song is “upsettingly good” and it “will make your ears orgasm”!

She was featured in Entertainment Weekly for being one of the top 12 best Radiohead covers of all time, with artists such as Frank Ocean, John Mayer, Weezer, Regina Spektor, Vampire Weekend, and others. She was also featured in the New York Times, The New Yorker, Huffington Post, The Daily Beast, MTV, and MSNnow.

“Made of Stars” asks the question “why do we do the things to each other that we do when we are all made of the same thing?” Carrie wrote this song after a break up. That’s where it began, and then the song started taking on this universal meaning and became all encompassing. Carrie is preparing to release her first full-length record titled “The 44th Chord”, to be released in May 2019.

This new record dances with the sounds of Adele and Hozier, with a kiss blown to Jeff Buckley. The original songs on the record were co-written with writers such as David Hodges (Evanescense, Christina Perri), busbee (Pink, Christina Auguilera, Shane McAnally (Kelly Clarkson, Kacey Musgraves) and others. Select covers include songs by Leonard Cohen, The Beatles, and Smashing Pumpkins.
