“Destiny” – space-disco and pop by Gods Of Venus featuring the swedish crooner Jay-Jay Johanson.
Gods Of Venus is the new project of an anonymous composer who has a solid career, and musically between space disco and orchestral pop.
It takes us on a cosmic adventure, starting with the instrumental disco-psyche track “Driving to Planet Xoxo” Then it’s the turn of Jay-Jay Johanson, mythical Swedish crooner, to share his air melodies in a pop song, heady and solar “Destiny”.
“Wings of Life” is a 2019 disco-pop jewel, mixing piano and romantic synths, flying strings and straight bass, with the distant, diaphanous and dreamy artist’s voice. Lastly, “Near the Sun” brings a suspense of breathtaking end and close this epic space odyssey in a flight that is both icy and sensual.
The production by Alexandre Chatelard, combining vintage and modernity, evokes alternately the space disco, but also the French school of arrangement and orchestration, willing lyric, which knew his hour of glory in the 1970s (Michel Colombier) or from the 90’s of their heirs: AIR, Bertrand Burgalat, or Sebastien Tellier.
