Australian artist Slinky releases “Freedom”.
Slinky’s sound of indie disco funk is created from a collage of genres, synthesizing a technicolour tapestry of soundscapes that draws from the 60s and 70s while also having a modern day twist. Written, recorded and produced by Slinky, “Freedom” is filled with soaring synths and infectious grooves.
It takes the listener on a journey through jangly guitars, funky synth bass and catchy melodies. It showcases Slinky’s unique voice, lyrics and songwriting, while also inviting listeners to engage with the world in a positive way. It examines today’s political climate and asks if history repeats or whether we can move forward without severe conflict.

After reaching the top 30 on the German Campus radio chart with his debut single “Arrow” and then with the single “Rhythm”, an uplifting funky anthem about the positive experiences of love and life, produced by Slinky and mixed by Steph Marziano (Mumford and Sons, Seal, Sam Smith), the song is filled with jangly guitars and an infectious groove.
