FRESH: ‘Who I Am (Iris)’- Jayli

Melodic House artist Jayli releases electrifying new single ‘Who I Am (Iris)’

By Steve McSteveface

This veteran of the global house scene has collaborated David Guetta, Mark Ronson, Black Coffee, Axwell and Hedkandi, trained as a classical singer, provided backing vocals on countless hit productions, and worked as an international DJ playing to audiences across the globe as the presenter of Hedkandi radio.

After turning her talents to production, she’s developed a colourful and euphoric sound that draws from tropical, melodic and vocal house to forge a hybrid style that’s both uplifting and unique.

Who I Am (Iris)” draws from the classic Goo Goo Dolls hit single to produce an interpretation that sits at the opposite end of the emotional spectrum: vibrant, joyful and melodic, it transforms the melancholy of the original into a hands-in-the-air, big-room banger that’s set to light up dancefloors and pop radio over summer 2019.

Working with vocalist Ami Carmine, Jayli has produced an instant hit that layers emotive chords, sparkling synthesizers and a jacking house beat under the universally recognised Goo Goo Dolls hook: “I just want you to know who I am”.

Fans of future bass, melodic house, electro-pop and EDM will rejoice at the reinvention of this iconic hit single that sees Jayli looking back to her roots to put her own unique stamp on a timeless classic.
