Vårum goes retro PWL for his EP “Switch”!

by Christopher Smith

Inspired by the pop heydays of the 80s, mashing up a bit of Bananarama and Pet Shop Boys with a modern take on Stock, Aitken and Waterman, Vårum releases his new EP “Switch” which features the PWL-esque track “Gone”.

Vårum is the solo project of Bjørn Thomassen, originally from the Lofoten Islands in Norway and now living in London, UK. He debuted in 2015 with his EP “Disco Damaged” and has since released the singles “Cold Comfort” (2016) and “Hard” (2018).

The single is released on CD and comes in a stunning ecological digipack made from recycled paper and card, with a booklet containing lyrics to all three tracks and a beautiful vinyl-style CD. The EP is also available across all digital retailers and streaming services.
