Doryan releases “Don’t Quit Your Daydream”.
Pop renegade Doryan (formerly known as Dorian Reland), originally from Geneva (Switzerland), now based in London, Doryan made the move to the city at the heart of European pop music in early 2014 to pursue a career in music. In 2013, Doryan released his first official single “Are You Ready?” and was featured as a lead in rock musical Hermissia (Switzerland) for the whole summer of the same year.
Once in London, he then released his single “Oversexual” in April 2014 and won London’s Pride Got Talent 2014, allowing him to perform on Trafalgar Square for London Pride 2014 in front of 30,000 people as the introducing act to the glamorous Conchita Wurst, winner of Eurovision 2013. Since then, Doryan released a couple of videos/singles such as his LGBT Rock and Roll anthem “Sinsation” and his Pop-Grunge fetish jam “Life Is Hard” in 2015. He also released his debut EP “The Line” in April 2016.

In 2019, Doryan is releasing a string of catchy pop songs: the funky “Looking For Magic”, LGBTQ+ pop anthem “We’re Alive” and tropical Summer pop jam “Don’t Quit your Daydream”. The title is a play on the usual “Don’t Quit Your Day Job” phrase people tell struggling aspiring artists. It’s an anthem for those who dare to follow their passion as opposed to caving in to society’s pressure and constructs. Doryan says “I wrote this song from a place of needing it in my life, needing that message and mantra that I aim to live by”.
In 2017, Doryan wrote the official song in support of Pride in London titled “The Rest Of Us” and the song was recorded by more than 20 artists from the diverse London scene and the song was released alongside a music video with proceeds going to Pride in London. Doryan’s sound is uplifting, hedonistic, twisted and unapologetic, relentlessly running on the spectrum from rock to pop, but never willing to be specifically defined. His debut EP, “The Line”, is an emotional revolution and an expression of anger towards a society that has forgotten its human core and feeds on a culture of misery. The record explores the pursuit of boundless freedom. Doryan himself is on a mission to blur the lines between the mainstream and what is considered to be subculture, playing with codes that define both while maintaining a commercial sound.
